Skill Sessions

Ready to refine a technique? Skill Sessions are focused 2-hour workshops built around one technique at a time.

Each session walks you through the steps of a specific skill, like throwing a pitcher or pulling and attaching handles, then gives you time to practice with guidance. Some sessions are on the wheel, others are hand work at the table.

These are practice sessions, not project classes. The goal is repetition and confidence, so pieces are reclaimed at the end unless you choose to keep them.

Best for folks who have taken a class or two and want to build real skills.

All participants must be 14 or older.

Schedule a Skill Session

We’ll demo each step, break it down, and then you’ll practice it again and again with an instructor nearby to help troubleshoot.

It’s okay if your first few attempts collapse or come out lopsided.

That’s the point of practice.

Pieces are reclaimed at the end of the session. Studio artists may keep their pieces at no extra charge and finish them on their own. Visiting artists can add piece finishing for $20 per piece, and we’ll trim, glaze, and fire it for you.

All materials included.
